The wisdom of this world often appeals to our fleshly desires, while ignoring the desires of God (see 2 Pet 3:9 –God’s desire) Moreover, as Christians, we could find it difficult to resist the thinking and acting on the part of this world. For good reason, the Bible says:
“Look out that no one takes you captive by means of the philosophy and empty deception according to human tradition.”—Col. 2:8
